Wakajugbe Taxi Driver App
Summary

A driver-focused mobile experience designed to make managing rides, trips and earnings simple and efficient.

Project Overview

I designed the UI/UX for the Wakajugbe Driver App in Figma in 2024. The app is designed to give drivers the tools they need to manage their availability, receive ride requests, navigate trips and keep track of their activity and earnings.

Case Study

The Wakajugbe Driver App was designed as the operational counterpart to the Rider App. While the rider experience focuses on requesting and tracking a trip, the driver experience needs to help drivers manage their work quickly and confidently while they are on the road.

I designed the UI/UX in Figma, starting with the key driver journeys—from going online and receiving a ride request to accepting the trip, navigating to the passenger, completing the ride and reviewing earnings.

One of the main challenges was keeping the interface simple enough to use while driving without removing the information drivers need. I therefore focused on clear hierarchy, prominent actions and straightforward trip states so drivers can quickly understand what is happening and what they need to do next.

I designed the different stages of a trip as connected states, including ride requests, pickup information, active trips, navigation and trip completion. I also designed supporting areas such as ride history, earnings and the driver profile to give drivers a complete view of their activity.

The final interface creates a focused driver experience that complements the Rider App while addressing the very different needs of the person providing the service.
